Bio
Jarod has been a physiotherapist since the turn of the century and after some time spent working in gerontology and mental health moved into working in private practice. He has previously done some work with Melville Cricket Club, Brentwood Football Club and The Cockburn Cougars in the SBL. He has worked here at Willetton since 2003 and took on the role of Practice Principal Physiotherapist in 2011 to 2022.
Jarod is comfortable working with all musculoskeletal injuries, but is petrified of needles, so doesn’t do acupuncture. He has developed an interest in lower limb tendinopathies and knee injuries over time working with sports people.
Sport has always been important in Jarod’s life, having played volleyball, hockey and badminton, and he is still a slave to his first love basketball, pushing into his 30th year on the court, getting less and less relevant as the 3-point game takes over. He was also heavily involved in triathlon and adventure racing until children’s junior sport took precedent but still likes to get out for a run, ride or paddle when the opportunity arises.
