Kenny commenced working at Sutherland Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic in 2001 and became Practice Principal and equity partner of the clinic in 2006. During this time, Kenny has developed extensive experience in the field of Sports Physiotherapy having previously worked with St George Illawarra Dragons (2003-2005), physiotherapist for South Sydney Rabbitohs NRL team (2012-2019) and Wests Tigers NRL team (2020-2022). Since 2018, Kenny holds the role of head physiotherapist for the New Zealand Kiwis Rugby League team and most recently returned from England after the 2022 World Cup.
Kenny completed his Masters in Sports Physiotherapy at La Trobe University in 2012 and has attained the title of Sports Physiotherapist. He is a qualified physiotherapist with Connect Therapy (formerly Integrated Systems Model) as taught by internationally recognized LJ Lee (www.ljlee.ca) having assisted her during courses run in Sydney. It is also the paradigm currently used by the physiotherapists for Manchester City Football Club.
Kenny is also a clinical educator with Sydney and Macquarie Universities regularly supervising students during their placements. He has special interests in the treatment of low back and hip/groin pain, adolescent injuries, and return to sports programs regularly using Real-Time Ultrasound in assessment and diagnosis.
