Qualifications: Bachelor of Physiotherapy, Bachelor of Science, Certificate 3 and 4 in fitness, further studies in Clinical Pilates and Dry Needling.
Andy joined the PSM group at Langwarrin in 2015 as a Physiotherapist and Clinical Pilates Instructor. He has spent the past 2 years working as a Physiotherapist in Patterson Lakes and Tecoma. Andy completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Monash University and prior to that completed his Bachelor of Science at Monash, majoring in Physiology and Anatomy.
Andy has a particular interest in sporting, shoulder and spinal injuries and hopes to further develop his skills in these areas. Since completing his degree, Andy has further extended his skills and is qualified to do Dry Needling, Kinesio-taping and is a registered WorkSafe and TAC Occupational Physiotherapist. He has also worked with several local sporting clubs assisting with their injury management and prevention.
As a clinic Pilates instructor Andy believes the core muscles play a key role in the overall function and well-being of the human body. He believes a majority of injuries arise from a weak core or a lack of knowledge on controlling these muscles. Working as a physiotherapist and clinical Pilates instructor is an advantage as it allows him the opportunity for continual treatment and management of clients injury.
Andy has worked as a personal trainer for 4 years which is where he developed his passion for fitness and exercise. He still enjoys spending time in the gym trying to keep fit and healthy. He’s also really passionate about most sports, in particular AFL, cricket and NRL. Andy is an avid snowboarder and enjoys travelling around the world trying different slopes and mountains.
