About Lifecare Homecare

Where did our journey begin?

Lifecare began life as a humble home-visiting physiotherapy service connecting with the local community back in March 2010.

Initially known as Homecare Physiotherapy, occupational therapy was added as a service in 2015 with the addition of Maximum Independence OT.

As our story unfolded, we grew and transformed into a multi-disciplinary NDIS registered home visiting service provider.

In 2020, we started another chapter, as Lifecare Homecare.

And although the name has changed, and our services have expanded, at our core we still feel that deep community connection and pride ourselves on our level of genuine care.

Our mission statement

To empower individuals in the community by maximising their independence and quality of life.

To be the preferred choice for care by earning trust, and receiving recommendations from all stakeholders, through excellence in service and dedication to well-being.

Our purpose

To provide a range of personalised allied health services that support the health and well-being of individuals, allowing them to live at home with choice and dignity.

Who we help

As a NDIS provider, we provide assistance to individuals aged 18 and above, including older adults and adults with disabilities, from all sectors of the community, to help them with a wide range of clinical conditions and functional limitations — including degenerative neurological, cardio-respiratory and musculoskeletal conditions, aged- functional decline and physical and intellectual disabilities.

We will come to you, evaluate your requirements, create a tailored therapy plan, and deliver one-on-one therapy sessions in the comfort of your own environment.

FAQs

How do home visits work?

Firstly, one of our practitioners takes the time to listen to your story and get to know you.

We want to understand what you need assistance with and what your goals are.

The next step is to explain how we can help you achieve those goals.

Then we make an assessment, which includes some questions, and, depending on the allied health service, could include an assessment of your environment, and/or some functional tests.

Next, the practitioner will explain a proposed plan of action, and if it’s agreeable, we put it into action.
