Lisa Harrington

Senior Physiotherapist

Qualifications

Background

Lisa is a senior physiotherapist at Lifecare Frankston and has been part of the team since 2017. She found her love for physiotherapy during her teenage years after injuring her shoulder playing competitive tennis and hasn’t looked back since.

Lisa aims to collaboratively work with patients to help achieve their goals and best outcomes in a comfortable environment. This includes a range of treatment techniques such as clinical exercise (pilates), dry needling and massage. Lisa is also currently head physiotherapist at Mt Eliza Football Netball Club, where she has been involved for the last 10 years.

Professional Interests

Lisa has keen interest in treating hip and back pain, groin pain and conditions such as hypermobility and Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS). Lisa also treats children from 5 years of age. Lisa utilises clinical exercise (one on one and classes) as a key treatment method in improving patients’ strength, balance and functional ability.

Since having children herself, Lisa has a strong interest in helping women stay fit and active during their pregnancy and their journey into motherhood. Lisa uses real time ultrasound to assist in the treatment of hip and lower back pain and pre/postnatal issues.

Personal Interests

Lisa has played a range of sport from an early age, in particular tennis. Over the last few years, Lisa has become involved in long distance running, completing a number of events including half and full marathons. In her spare time, Lisa enjoys spending time with her young family and going on walks with her golden retriever Maxxy.
