Clinical exercise sessions

What is a clinical exercise session?

A clinical exercise session is a personalised and tailored program to help you recover from an injury, achieve your health goals, and stay injury-free. In one session we can use different equipment including reformers, trapeze tables, weights, kettlebells, TRX, resistance bands, and floor-based exercises. What can these exercise sessions help with?

How does it work?

Physiotherapy treatment and rehab programs often include clinical exercise to retrain and restore optimal musculoskeletal function. This exercise promotes healthy neuromuscular movement patterns that alleviate pain and prevent injury—while improving body awareness, muscle balance, movement control, strength and flexibility.

What else do you need to know?

Prior to commencing a clinical exercise plan, you will require a physiotherapy assessment to discuss your goals, identify a program and teach you how to activate your muscles properly.

Is a referral required?

No referral is required to see a physiotherapist for an initial assessment or to attend a session.

Can I claim this service as an extra on my health insurance policy?

Attending an initial assessment with a physiotherapist could allow you to claim private health insurance rebates on your subsequent sessions.
