Physiotherapy interests: sporting injuries, Parkinson’s disease
Mikaela studied at the Australian Catholic University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours). Prior to this, Mikaela completed a Bachelor of Biomedical Science at RMIT University.
Mikaela has a particular interest in Parkinson’s Disease fostered through her continued work in a research project involving people with Parkinson’s Disease that began during her Honours degree.
Mikaela has also cultivated a passion for sporting injuries which has further developed during her role as a sports trainer with Coburg VFL.
Whilst these are specific physiotherapy areas of interest, Mikaela does however enjoy working with a wide array of conditions and injuries.
Mikaela believes in utilising a holistic approach to address the client’s needs and improve quality of life.
Outside of work Mikaela loves attending the MCG to support her much loved AFL team.
