Bio

Rosanne is an experienced physiotherapist that has chosen to work with the aged and disabled for most of her career, believing in and practicing holistic person-centred care.

She has held positions within most areas of care for these population groups, from residential care facilities to day therapy centres, though her favourite role is working as a mobile physiotherapist visiting clients in their homes.

Over the years Rosanne has attended many physiotherapy and other professional conferences, courses and lectures, to further develop her skills in gerontology physiotherapy, dementia care (currently studying), falls prevention (previously assisted in research), and ABI – Acquired brain injury.

Rosanne has a special interest in dementia with a strong desire to assist people living with this condition as well as their families or carers, which has led to ongoing studies towards a Bachelor of Dementia Care through the University of Tasmania.

Overall, Rosanne is passionate about improving the quality of life for the ageing, the disabled, and those living with dementia, and to facilitate their ability to continue living at home as independently as possible.

She has completed APA Level 1 and 2 courses in Gerontology Physiotherapy, and Level 1 and 2 courses in Community Rehabilitation for ABI hosted by Monash University with international presenters.

Personal interests

Rosanne enjoys spending quality time with her husband and their family of 3 adult sons and 1 daughter-in-law, as well as their fur-children at home, 2 Basenjis that were adopted from sunny Queensland as rescue dogs.

In her spare time, Rosanne is also an avid genealogy enthusiast researching her family tree, discovering many fun or unexpected stories and ‘hidden skeletons’ over the years.
