Anna graduated from Curtin University as a Physiotherapist in 1991 and returned in 1996 to obtain a Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Physiotherapy.
With many years in the profession, Anna’s experience has been wide and varied. She commenced working with Brian Edwards and Associates (Mount Physiotherapy) in 1992, progressing to become a practice principal in this clinic. Whilst at Mount Physiotherapy, Anna had the opportunity to work with high profile sporting teams including the Western Australian State Cricket Team and the West Coast Eagles. Anna initially joined the Riseley Physiotherapy team in 2005 and worked in Clinical Pilates for four years, prior to moving in to Vocational Rehabilitation in an Injury Management Consultant role. As an Injury Management Consultant Anna developed and consolidated proficient skills in conducting ergonomic/workstation assessments and manual handling training. During this time Anna also worked extensively with clients under the Workers’ Compensation Scheme, providing her with the knowledge and understanding of Workcover regulations and the return to work process.
Anna is very excited to have returned to Lifecare Riseley Physiotherapy in 2016. In addition to a strong interest in treating spinal and peripheral joint and muscular conditions, Anna’s interests include shoulder/scapula biomechanics and injury, postural and trunk control, clinical Pilates, ergonomics / workstation and manual handling assessment and correction in the workplace and vehicle ergonomics assessment and correction.
